Mozgásmeditáció • MOVEMENT MEDITATION

  • A lehetőségeid határtalanok
  •

A mozgásmeditáció a légzéssel egybekötött mozgás szabad áramlása. Lebegés a jelenlétben, itt és most.

  •
  • Az indiai jógikus tradíciókban, a tibeti bön gyakorlatokban és a trulkorban, a bhagwati vagy négy irány meditációban, a mahasati meditációban, a vipassana járómeditációban csakúgy, mint a közel-keleti mozgásmeditációkban egyaránt kulcsfontosságú a kontempláció, a kocentráció, a testi és mentális folyamatokban való tudatos jelenlét, a belső energia uralása.
  •
  • A japán do-in, a kínai shen dao, a tajcsicsuan, a kungfu gyakorlatai szintén az emberi testben is jelen levő univerzális energia érzékelésére, kiterjesztésére, vezetésére helyezik a hangsúlyt.

  • "A meditáció a tudat természetes állapota." Chögyal Rinpocse
  •

  •
  • A testet nemcsak külső formák felvételével kell tréningezni, nemcsak mechanikus gyakorlással bejáratni, formálni, gyűrni, gyúrni, legyőzni, hanem a belső utakat, világokat is megjárva meg kell találnunk a mozdulatokon túli mozdulatokat. Engedni, hogy a tudatalatti is formába önthesse a testet, hogy rátaláljunk mozdulatainkra, a táncunkra, ami bennünk él.
  •

Amikor elengedtük a feszültségeket, erőt tudunk felszabadítani.

  • "A test a személyiség fizikai aspektusa, a mozdulat a láthatóvá vált személyiség." Mary Starks Whitehouse
  •
  •
  • Miközben végig nagy hangsúlyt helyezünk a légzésre, a különböző mozdulatminőségekkel való kísérletezés mindenki számára igazi felfedező utazást kínál. A láthatatlan fokozatosan láthatóvá, a hallhatatlan hallhatóvá válik, és a közvetlen tapasztalathoz explicit forma társul. A folyamat során újra összekapcsolódunk mélyebben fekvő ösztönös erőinkkel és szellemi intelligenciánkkal; helyreállnak természetünk meg nem élt részei személyen belüli (intraperszonális), személyek közötti (interperszonális) és személyen túlmutató (transzperszonális) szinteken. Ez felszabadító, transzformatív élmény, olyan tudás, mely mindennapi életünket is kedvezően befolyásolja.
  •
Kiegészíti a pedagógiai munkát is a test bölcsességéhez való visszatérés lehetőségével.
  •

Movement meditation is a meditative breath-centered flow. It is organic movement, it is moving in sync with the breath. It is meditation in motion. It is dance and it is relaxation, it has the ability to heal and re-connect, to balance body and mind through your own awareness. It is to live in the now. In movement meditation we listen to our body resonances and explore the unconscious mind. Movement meditation is free-floating. It is a transformative experience. And it is fun.

  • Your possibilities are infinite… Let yourself move!

In Patanjali’s system, also called raja yoga, meditation is the seventh limb. It is an important tool to achieve mental clarity and health. Like the Eastern discipline of yoga, movement meditation combines breathing and gentle, flowing movements to create a meditative state. It gets you out of your thoughts, the churning, chewing mind chatter. It appeals especially to those who tend to achieve a meditative state of mind by moving their bodies. It is performed with clarity, mindfulness and heart, with and without music. Movement meditation is excellent to do first thing in the morning and can also be a prelude to another form of meditation.

  • "The body is your basic truth, so never be against the body. Whenever you are disrespectful to your body, you are losing contact with reality, because your body is your contact, your body is your bridge. Your body is your temple." Osho
  •
  • What is movement meditation anyway? In the case of tai chi, yoga, and chi kung, it's the circulation of energy through movement of the body. In Buddhist walking meditation, rather than moving energy, you direct your attention at sensing the process itself, such as the sensations of heaviness and lightness while lifting and placing the feet. Practitioners of tai chi aren't worshipping anyone or anything; they're moving to attain a state of harmony, balance and unity, within and without.
  •
  • Often Taoist internal martial arts, especially thai chi are thought of as moving meditation. A common phrase being, "movement in stillness" referring to energetic movement in passive chi kung and seated Taoist meditation; with the converse being "stillness in movement", a state of mental calm and meditation in the tai chi form. In a form of meditation using visualization, such as Chinese chi kung, the practitioner concentrates on flows of energy (chi) in the body, starting in the abdomen and then circulating through the body, until dispersed.
  •
  • Still, the basic somatic principles and mechanisms are the same. We all share the same basic human structure and function, and the same faculty of being able to become deeply absorbed in contemplation and concentration of an object - whether it is an external object or our own living, breathing bodies. And our own movements are in many ways the most effective object of contemplation because they are immediately present to the senses - and we, in fact, learn most easily when all the bodily senses are used in learning rather than just looking and listening.
  •

The two spaces in movement meditation are stillness and movement (dance). Part of coming alive is sensing both of these spaces with presence and attentiveness, and this creates a journey into inner peace that is incredibly healing.

  • "The body never lies. Its tone, color, posture, proportions, movements, tensions, and vitality express the person within. These signs are a clear language to those who have learned to read them. The body says things about one’s emotional history and deepest feelings, one’s character and personality."   Jo-Ellen Kurtz
  •

We begin by moving consciously with a deep appreciation of the unique bodies we each inhabit, and as the body unwinds and the awareness grows, the movement becomes a personal dance. This dance is a gift to your body and your inner self. It is a heartful experience giving one's inner movement a path for expression in a space of love and acceptance. Movement and all aspects of dance is a powerful tool for us to get back in touch with our deeper selves. It is a great opportunity as we are living in a world that is exploding with media and noise, and diverting our attention from the present moment.

  • Movement meditation brings you:
  •
  • • Increased awareness
  • • Relaxation, soothed nervous system
  • • Improved cardiovascular endurance
  • • Improved self-healing potential
  • • Improved stress response and immunity
  • • Body-mind balance
  • • The opportunity to meet and dance with like minded people
  • • A space for authentic expression

• Many other jewels including more self-love and self-knowledge

  • Movement Meditation Level 1 is an effective way to still the mind, expand body sensation, soothe the nervous system and to move stagnant energy, which often builds during winter months. At a deeper level it is a way to get to know and love your body more intimately.
  •
  • Movement Meditation Level 2 is a conscious research of our body-mind-soul unification,
so we can deeply enjoy the intrinsic process of metamorphosis through the spirit of dance. Through a continuous exploration of our past collective memories,
we can strike a vein of abundant creative resources, enriching the essence of our life.
The body is a receptacle of time. Movement meditation is a key to open up the doors of the ever-changing world inside and outside of us,
which helps the body to unfold its secrets.
Everything is interconnected, everything is in resonance with each other. Through a dialogue with our body,
we can learn to be moved by inner and outer forces, thus realizing that we are a part of the universe. A dance of metamorphosis inevitably appears.
  •
  • Movement Meditation for Dancers offers you high quality knowledge that leads to a state in which the body does the thinking and your movements will become clear and graceful. You will learn to use and respect the sense of each movement without interpreting it. Through further examining dynamics, momentum, direction, velocity, rhythm, we learn to use their influences and to construct them into structures. The main benefit of this type of improvisation is to arrive at a fluid state of creativity, where you can make better split-second decisions and use them to articulate your individual qualities.

  • Basic Movement Meditation No. 1: Energy circle
  •
  • Meditation invokes a shift in consciousness, whether it be in stillness or action. Movement meditation can be a very accessible way to restore the equilibrium of the mind. When you are in the midst of your day and your mind is restless or disturbed, doing this simple movement meditation can create an immediate shift in conciousness, enabling you to bring greater awareness and peace into the world around you.
  •
  • The following meditation is based upon the opening movements of Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation. The linking of the breath with the archetypal arm movements - expanding the arms upward on the inhalation and then contracting them down the center line of your spine on the exhalation - taps into the basic rhythm of life that defines our moment-to-moment reality. Our breath and our heartbeat both follow this expand-and-contract movement. The grounding force of gravity which is part of apana or "downward force" corresponds with the pulling of the arms toward the earth; a rebound effect is felt in the drawing upwards of the arms with the inhalation.
  •
  • This meditation can be done while seated or standing. To begin, bring your hands together at your heart, in anjali mudra. Take a moment to become receptive by shifting from thinking mind to listening mind. Scan your body and mind, and ask yourself how you are feeling. Take note of the answer (scattered, irritated, tired, excited etc.) without investing or analyzing the content.
  •
  • Now, on an inhalation, draw your arms overhead from the roots of your feet. Coordinate your breath with the movement so that at the top of your inhalation, your hands come together overhead. As you exhale, draw your arms down the center line of your spine so that your arms rest beside your hips when you complete your exhalation.
  •
  • Repeat this rhythm, drawing upward on the inhalation and downward on the exhalation for as long as it feels appropriate, probably somewhere between three to five minutes. Concentrate on merging your breath and movement, and being present every moment.
  •

Notice as your movement and breath start to syncopate that your internal state begins to shift. As your breath slows down with the grace of your movement, feel your inner balance returning. When you feel a natural urge to end, take one last cycle with the arms, and then draw your hands together at your heart. Take a few moments to quietly reflect before returning to the movements of your life, more centered and enlivened by your movement meditation.

  • Basic Movement Meditation No. 2: Meditative engagement in body movements
  •
  • Props: Some loose-fitting clothes, no shoes, and some space to move around in.
  •
  • Stand in your space with your palms uppermost by your waist, and almost close your eyes so that you can just see your hands through the lids of your eyes. Now let your body make whatever slow, simple movements come naturally.
  •
  • Let your body decide how to move. Let all parts of your body be loose. If at any stage you want to close your eyes, that's fine too as long as you keep an awareness of what your body is doing. Simply watch what's going on, and try to be as fully aware as you can be of all those parts of you that are moving. If your thoughts get distracted, then bring yourself back. Without telling your muscles what to do, let those parts of you that want to move, while being engaged with your mind. Don't think too much, and try not to move too many parts of your body at once. It's easier to keep track of simple movements. Try not to make any movement that your mind isn't engaged with.
  •
  • Sense which muscles are moving as your shape changes. Notice how even a small movement in one area generally involves some sort of compensation somewhere else. Notice how finely tuned your sense of balance is, and how it works with no conscious thought.
  •

Now concentrate on the movement of your arms and your hands, preferably with your palms open. Concentrate on your palms more than your fingers. Let your hands and arms do what they want to do, and try and be as fully aware as you can of all the nuances of movement involved. Do this for a couple of minutes.

Then when you're ready, end it. Jiggling your whole body for a few seconds sometimes feels good before you do anything else.

  • Basic Movement Meditation No. 3: Meditative dance
  •
  • Center and concentrate. Take several deep, cleansing breaths. Then move into a relaxed, squatting stance with your knees slightly bent, and your hips and pelvis loose. Center yourself by visualizing your feet connected to the soil. Visualize the center of the Earth, from which you draw energy. Concentrate upon and honor the Earth. Focus your awareness.
  •

Gently move your body in an undulating, snakelike swaying motion. See yourself as a flower opening up or as an animal moving through the brush. Dance, if you like. If it pleases you, use sound or music to focus your attention on the movement and on the vibration. Allow yourself to get lost in the sense of movement and the beauty of your body as it moves. Feel the areas of your body that are tight, and let the movement loosen them up.
